For Energy & Environmental Policy
Concern about the environmental implications of human actions continues to grow. So too do the demands for reliable sources of energy that are at once plentiful and clean. Each of these areas raises difficult policy questions, and the overlap between them offers some of the greatest challenges of all.
The issues are intricate and touch on a spectrum of disciplines that stretches from the highly technical and technological through the pure sciences to the subtle business of translating knowledge and best practices into policy.
The Queen’s Institute for Energy and Environmental Policy arises from the conviction that trans-disciplinary research increases the scope and influence of work that is already being done. The Institute promotes the meeting of unlike minds; it offers a crossroads where the best academic research intersects with the challenges of policy makers and industry.
