Munir Sheik reminds us of the critical point, that an economy does not have to sacrifice the environment in order to function well.
“There’s no reason we must sacrifice one of the two objectives of improving the environment and protecting the economy. The problem isn’t the carbon tax but its appropriate design. It would be more productive to move on to this debate from where we are today that a trade-off between the two desired objectives is a foregone conclusion.”
