Nova Scotia Tidal Power Redux

FORCE — Fundy Ocean Research Centre for Energy — and the Nova Scotia government are wiring the floor of the Bay of Fundy and preparing sites for turbines.
The Bay offers a tidal resource capable of generating 2500 Mw of electricity.
The tidal bore in one of the proposed locations was powerful enough to tear the blades from a turbine installed in 2009.
